Welcome to East Garrison Maya Child Care! Our center is dedicated to nurturing the unique potential of every child. We offer a rich program of age-appropriate activities that foster growth and learning, with a strong focus on social and emotional development. Our certified and highly trained staff are passionate about delivering exceptional care tailored to each child’s needs. We collaborate closely with parents to ensure individualized attention and support for every child. Located in the East Garrison neighborhood at the corner of Caldwell St., our facility, built in 2014, is conveniently situated across from a park for easy drop-off and pick-up. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and engaging environment with brand-new, clean toys and play structures.
Our Staff
Meet Farhana Azar! Farhana has been happily married for 25 years, and together with her husband, who works at DLI, they have three wonderful children currently attending college, high school, and middle school. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education from Monterey Peninsula College and brings a wealth of experience from her three years at the MPC Childcare Center and her recent role at Monterey Rd Child and Youth Center. With over a decade of experience in large-group childcare settings, Farhana has worked with children of various age groups. She is also well-versed in child safety, holding certifications in Child Abuse Prevention, CPR, and First Aid. Farhana’s deep passion for working with children has led her to open her own large-group child care center in collaboration with a co-worker. She is dedicated to providing a supportive and safe environment for families, driven by her genuine love for nurturing and guiding young minds.​
